Usenet access is supplied by a Usenet provider. A Usenet provider provides access to NNTP servers which are part of the larger Usenet network.

You access these servers using software called a news client. The news client works like an email application allowing you to view and send articles within the application.

To access Usenet you’ll need access to an NNTP server.
You can read more about this in our “What is a Usenet Provider?” section.

You’ll also need to download and configure your Usenet software.
